COMMUNITY TEAM MEMBERS (CTM PROGRAM)

Magen Am established a pipeline for community members to receive intensive training and licensing to provide embedded, armed security at Jewish institutions. Their methods draw from the US and Israeli military, as well as law enforcement doctrine, and include hand-to-hand combat, communication skills for de-escalation, and lethal force as a last resort. Graduates from the program are embedded in community schools and shuls. A number of new cohorts are expected to graduate this year.

ADVOCACY

Magen Am works with political and law enforcement leaders to advocate for the community's security and safety concerns. The organization has earned commendations from state and local government entities and has established strong relationships with leaders in law enforcement agencies such as the Phoenix Police Department and the FBI.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION

Magen Am holds many different community classes including situational awareness, community empowerment, hand to hand combatives, CCW clinics, firearm safety, and skill-building.

CREATING LEADERS

While it may seem that on the surface that we are in the security business, Magen Am is actually in the "creating future Jewish leaders" business. By doing so, we are changing hearts and minds in the community, thereby punching far above our weight.

FRACTIONAL COST

Our Community Team Members (CTM) are volunteers trained to the highest professional standards. As volunteers, Magen Am only bills institutions for their pro rata share of the hourly insurance pass through costs.

RISK MITIGATION

The primary advantages of utilizing Magen Am are twofold. First, Magen Am simultaneously provides liability insurance coverage for volunteers functioning as Armed Security. Second, utilizing Magen Am protects the Institution by allowing it to effectively sub-contract the armed security services to a 3rd Party.

LIASON, ADVOCACY & INTELLIGENCE SHARING WITH LEO's

Magen Am Arizona is constantly looking to assist and share information with local as well as Federal law enforcement agencies. We understand how law enforcement agencies and EMS work, especially in critical incidents where time is of the essence. As such we strive to be the bridge to these often misunderstood public agencies.

Magen Am is a useful tool in an institution's tool box. We have standards that we can share with you as we have thought about most things an institution may come up against. Then we can assist you in tailoring those standards to your institution, making it yours.
